Learning objectives

After completing this Learning Pathway, you should be able to:

  • Be able to identify the ways in which SBC principles can be integrated into national strategies (policy, national investments, etc.) 
  • Be able to identify areas or aspects in which SS will contribute to SBC programme results.  
  • Know what data are needed to inform and develop SS processes.  
  • Be able to make specific SS recommendations to partners across their organizations/institutions.  
  • Be able to design SS programmes that integrate with SBC initiatives.  
  • Advocate for SS activities with counterparts in the context of SBC programming.  
  • Advocate for the systematic inclusion of SBC in country programmes and government policies and plans.

Audience

This Learning Pathway is primarily for UNICEF staff, external partners, government counterparts, and other stakeholders who are interested in learning about how Systems Strengthening contributes to the fulfillment of SBC and programmatic goals at UNICEF.  about the role of SBC in UNICEF. It is an intermediate learning pathway, which means that it will provides a mix of introductory and more challenging content around Systems Strengthening and SBC.

The Learning Pathway has been primarily designed for:


  • UNICEF staff (country offices, Regional Offices and HQ)
  • UNICEF external and implementing partners, such as LTA holders and individual consultants
  • UNICEF and National Committee consultants
  • UNICEF government, civil society and corporate partners as appropriate

Length

The time required to complete this Learning Pathway will vary depending on what courses you choose. At a minimum, you should plan to spend 1 - 2 hours per week for 4 - 6 weeks to complete it.

This Learning Pathway includes four required courses and one elective course.
